Mission:
The Town Clerk is the official record keeper for the City of West Springfield. Records include: vital statistics, birth, marriage, and death certificates, and Business Certificates (d/b/a’s), appeals and decisions of the Zoning Board of Appeals and Planning Boards, and filings of notices of meetings and various minutes of Committees of the community, underground storage licenses and renewals. Most documents on file are public records.
Various licenses are issued through this department including but not limited to: dogs, fishing and hunting, auctioneer and transient vendors, closing out sales and miscellaneous documents.
The minutes of the Town Council, ordinances, and the list of appropriations and the annual town reports are also filed in this office.
Notice: Effective December 1, 2009 the Town Council voted to increase the Town Clerk's Fees as listed in the following table.
